The Russian division of Saint-Gobain holding keeps account on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform

The French holding Saint-Gobain completed the project of automation of recently opened Russian division of holding on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform. As integrator the 1C: Accounting and Trade company (BIT) was selected.

Due to the opening of the Russian division specializing in wholesale trade by abrasive materials there was a need for creation of an information system using which the company can exercise effective management of trade processes of division.

The head of the new direction for automation of the Russian division suggested to use the solutions "1C: Trade Management" and "1C: Accounting". On implementation of implementation one month was allotted. 10 jobs are automated.

Within the project practically all standard functionality of the solution of 1C: Trade Management 8 was brought into operation. The created system allowed

  • It is effective to manage purchases

Purchasing managers had an opportunity to analyze the sales demand and preferences of specific clients on the basis of analytical data of a system on previous periods. It allows the company of a message purchasing activity according to real requirements of the market and clients, to perform the most exact planning, to optimum use warehouse resources.

  • Manage sales

Thanks to a user-friendly interface of a system sales managers had an opportunity of online access to necessary state-of-health data of the order, existence of goods, interpretation of descriptions of goods. A system allows to create quickly all necessary documents, depending on the scheme of work with the specific partner (a credit system, prepaid, special conditions and so forth) and to control execution of the order at all stages. The company management had an opportunity to monitor the actual accomplishment of sales plans, to carry out job analysis of managers. Use of 1C: Trade Management 8 provided control of quality of work of sales managers and positively influenced growth in sales of the company - real sales to the company according to the results of the first months of work exceeded the planned level twice. The number of the signed agreements with clients from the moment of opening of the company for 20% exceeded the expected result.

  • Manage financial flows of the company

Finance division of the company received the convenient tool for accounting of cash flow and the analysis of their actual expenditure. Use of a system provided transparency of financial information and allowed the management of division of a message detailed control of expenses from the first days of work of the organization in Russia.

  • Have new opportunities for effective work with clients

Clients of the company are given an opportunity to receive separate types of specific products for testing for making decision on purchase. The experimental products provided to clients are not stored in warehouses of the company, its receipts happen irregularly. Most quickly to notify the become interested clients on receipts of products, in a system the mechanism of notifications of managers of the company about receipt of specific goods on a warehouse is finished. When obtaining the notification from a system managers at once contact the client. Such operational work considerably raised a customer loyalty to the company. In general, after opening of trade division and implementation of the unified information system, for the first quarter of work the customer base of the Russian representative office of Saint-Gobain increased by 30 percent.

In a project deliverable the company received the convenient mechanism for accounting of the goods which are in the warehouses of safe custody rented by the company. Specifics of an inventory control of the company is work with boxes of goods, but not with piece units. For work with the order and shipment of goods when using transport, managers of the company needed to calculate the total volume of a load. Specialists of BIT company adapted a system to specifics of an inventory control of the company - all calculations are made automatically and in documents the goods are displayed on volume units. It facilitated work of purchasing managers, provided data transparency about storage of goods, excluded confusion of names in documents. Company management, sales and purchasing managers possess exact information on stock remainders now, it allows to organize more precisely work and to conduct planning of stocks.

  • Keep accounting and tax accounting and also perform data exchange with the outsourcing company working for Saint-Gobain holding.

The implemented software products provided the company with necessary tools for formation of the regulated reporting in fiscal bodies, activity accounting and tax accounting in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. Operational data exchange with the outsourcing company performing accounting for other divisions of Saint-Gobain holding is configured - it allowed the company to unload data of division in a single system of accounting, thus, the management of holding timely obtains information on the primary business activities of the Russian division.
