Khachatur Kurginyan was born in Uralsk (Kazakhstan) in 1985.

Education

In 2010, Khachatur Kurginyan completed a clinical internship in general surgery with a course of traumatology and orthopedics at the National Medical and Surgical Center named after N.I. Pirogov. In 2012, he graduated from clinical residency in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery with a course of X-ray endascular surgery.

Biography

2012-2019

From 2012 to 2015, Khachatur Kurginyan worked as the head of the surgical department of the National Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine.

From 2015 until 2019, he headed the outpatient surgery clinic in this institution, then for a year he was deputy head physician of the NMIC.

In 2019, he was awarded the title "Surgeon of the Year" for setting the Russian record for the number of operations for the treatment of varicose veins carried out during the operating day.

2021: Appointment as general director of the Medskan network of clinics

On October 6, 2021, the Khachatur group of companies Medical scan announced the appointment of Khachatur Kurginyan as the new general director of the network of clinics of LLC. Medical scan He replaced Alexandra Budova, who headed the company for a little less than a year.

According to the press service of Medskan Group of Companies, Khachatur Kurginyan is a practicing cardiovascular surgeon, a doctor who treats vein diseases (phlebologist). He is the record holder of the Russian record book in the number of surgeons performed by one surgeon per work shift.

Kurginyan wrote many works on various methods of treating varicose veins. He is a member of the Association of Angiologists and Vascular Surgeons of Russia, the Association of Phlebologists of Russia. He is often invited to various television programs as an expert.

Before heading the Medskan network of medical centers, Kurginyan served as deputy chief physician of the Clinical Hospital in Yauza (part of the Medskan group) in Moscow. The doctor confirmed his appointment to the post of head of Medskan LLC on a personal Facebook page.[1]
