2021: Start of mass production

In September 2021, the Nizhny Novgorod company Forward announced the start of mass production of small freight electric vehicles. They are intended for the transportation of industrial, household and food goods, as well as for courier delivery of parcels or food.

The electric tricycle received a composite body equipped with a spacious cargo compartment with a rear roller shutter door and a closed driver's cab. The vehicle has a fully sealed brushless electric motor and high-capacity batteries, which are enough for a trip of 40 km. When using an additional battery pack, the power reserve is increased by 2 times. Battery charging lasts 8-10 hours. The vehicle capacity is declared at 90 kg.

Presented Russian electric car for 600 thousand rubles from the company "Forward"

Regardless of configuration, the maximum speed of a three-wheeler is 30 kilometers per hour. It will take about 8-10 hours to fully charge the batteries. The timing of the start of mass production in the company has not yet been reported. The cost of the "green" tricycle is 600,000 rubles.

In October 2021, Forward presented the public with a modification of the electric car intended for the Russian Post. The developers claim that the first customer for a batch of tricycles is already there - this is the famous chain of pizzerias "Dodo Pizza." It is noted that the company intends to use Forward electric vehicles throughout the country and install stations in the courtyard of each restaurant to recharge batteries.

Forward is not the first manufacturer of electric cars from Russia. September 23, 2021 it became known that in the Russian Federation in the next 2-3 years the production of electric vehicles of three brands will be established: Zetta, Kama-1 and the Motorinvest project[1]
