On October 8, 2021, Rostec and Lukoil announced cooperation in the use of nanoasphalt. It has already begun to be laid - the coating appeared in the Tula region.

An agreement on the use of modern bitumen materials and asphalt concrete at the objects of weight and size control (VGK) was concluded by the National Center for Informatization (NCI) Rostec and the company LLK-International, which is part of the Lukoil group. The partners agreed to apply the new coating in the construction, reconstruction, maintenance, major and current repairs of the facilities.

According to Konstantin Solodukhin, Director General of the National Research Center, the use of nanoasphalt will improve performance and increase the life of the road surface. This is especially important in regions with difficult climatic conditions and in areas with a large transport load, he stressed.

In the Tula region began to lay "nanoasphalt"

Solodukhin noted that the functional characteristics of weight and size control complexes depend on the quality and wear resistance of the roadway. HSV system is a set of technologically interconnected structural elements and sensors operating in automatic mode. Control points provide round-the-clock continuous monitoring of the movement of vehicles and freight on roads.

The project was a continuation of the regional road industry development program provided for by the cooperation agreement between the Government of the Tula Region and Lukoil.

Earlier, Rusnano began to experiment with the so-called "nanoasphalt." On the federal highway "M4 Don," a pilot section of the asphalt concrete roadway was laid, reinforced using Tuball graphene nanotubes (this addition was made by the portfolio company Rusnano"" OCSiAl). Tests showed an increase in resistance to the formation of ruts and cracks by 67%.[1]
