2021: Approval of the initiative by the Government of the Russian Federation
In Russia, remote monitoring of the health of people with chronic diseases will be organized, which will be conducted by domestic portable medical devices. A corresponding strategic initiative called "Accessible medical care for all" in October 2021 was approved by the Cabinet.
According to the apparatus of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrei Belousov, patients with high pressure (hypertension), chronic heart failure and diabetes mellitus will first receive personal digital assistants. Such a project was included in the list of strategic initiatives for socio-economic development until 2030, adopted by the Russian government, RIA Novosti reports.
Information about human health obtained from wearable devices will be processed on a specially created digital platform. Such continuous monitoring of the vital indicators of people with chronic diseases should reduce their mortality and the risks of deterioration. It turns out that thanks to these devices, the patient will be able to always be in touch with the doctor, even if he lives in a settlement remote from the medical institution. At the same time, such devices do not require constant access to the Internet.
The widespread use of personal medical assistants will ensure an increase in the proportion of patients covered by dispensary supervision, will allow timely informing the doctor about the development of a clinically important event requiring intervention, the deputy prime minister's information service said. |
It is noteworthy that the project will affect Russian microelectronics. The industry will be able to bring new products to the market, and domestic information technologies will find wider use. It is assumed that it will be possible to use portable assistants through the LCA system.[1]
