2021: Remote primary examination and medical counselling
On October 11, 2021, VEB Ventures (part of the ВЭБ.РФ group) announced that on the initiative of the region's Health Department, a telemedicine center was opened in Ivanovo on the basis of the Doctor Nearby digital medical service, where any resident of the region will be able to seek primary advice, directions for tests and for the appointment of narrow-profile specialists. This is a major step towards the expansion of telemedicine capabilities in the country, which is especially important in a pandemic where the risk of contracting COVID-19 is especially high.
As the rate of distribution of coronavirus accelerated, the Health Department of the Ivanovo Region and the Doctor Nearby provided all residents of the region with the opportunity to receive free remote medical consultations.
And no later than until the end of 2021, according to the company, telemedicine center doctors will have the opportunity to remotely issue directions for analyses and open an entry to narrow-profile specialists. Thus, if earlier a person who had a reason to contact a therapist to get directions for tests and for an appointment with a narrow-profile specialist had to go to the contact center and, having signed up, go to the clinic, now he will be able to do this via video link by contacting the doctor-therapist of the telemedicine center "Doctor nearby."
On October 11, 2021, Ivanovo residents can already seek remote medical care. Telemedicine center services are available to all residents of the region within the framework of the compulsory medical insurance system, regardless of attachment to the clinic.
The full deployment of the project is designed for three years. While there is a shortage of therapists in the region due to the fact that many specialists are engaged in helping patients with COVID-19, Moscow doctors will conduct an appointment at the telemedicine center at the initial stage of the project. As the deficit decreases, remote admission of patients will begin to be conducted by doctors from Ivanovo.
In 2020, during the quarantine and the Doctor Nearby weekend announced in Russia, together with the state development corporation ВЭБ.РФ, they conducted a social campaign in which remote consultations of therapists and doctors of narrow specialties were provided to Russians for free. As part of the project, more than 100 thousand medical consultations were held, while the Ivanovo region took 3rd place in the number of calls to doctors in April 2020.
"The implementation of remote primary inspection in the region is an important precedent that will inevitably demonstrate the effectiveness of digital services and platforms in the service of doctors. I am sure that the scaling of the project to other regions will begin from the Ivanovo region. Integration Telemedicine in the digital landscape of a whole area is a qualitative jump in the standard of living in the region for every resident with access to. to the Internet The level of penetration of telemedicine in Russia to data WHO is about 15 percent, according to the results of 2021, the volume of the telemedicine services market promises, according to experts, to exceed 5 billion. rubles This figure leaves a lot of space for the growth of this segment of the market and the introduction of relevant solutions. Especially against the background of the readiness of patients to use remote services. With the help of VEB Ventures - both expert and resource - the Doctor Nearby was able to meet the requirements that a project of this scale poses for the company, " says VEB Ventures CEO Oleg Teplov. |
"Empowering therapists to remotely conduct a primary medical appointment will solve several problems at once: it will reduce the shortage of therapists, help unload therapists in clinics and allow them to provide assistance to those who cannot visit clinics in person, including out of fear of contracting COVID-19, or be forced to stay at home due to quarantine," notes Denis Shvetsov, general director of the digital medical service Doctor Nearby. |
