Rosenergoatom buys Russian OS and DBMS, which will replace Windows and Oracle. The purchase is due to the phased transfer of the organization's local information systems to the platforms of Russian manufacturers. This became known on October 14, 2021.

Rosenergoatom intends to transfer this system from the American Windows OS and Oracle DBMS to the Russian Astra Linux OS and DBMS PostgreSQL/PostgresPro. Information about this was published on the public procurement website on October 12, 2021. A request for proposals in electronic form, which can only be participants in small and medium-sized enterprises, is accepted until October 20. The results will be summed up on November 22. The maximum contract price is 4 million rubles.

According to the terms of reference, the future executor will finalize the software modules under consideration using software code development tools and components that do not require acquisition of rights to use foreign software.

Proceeding from the technical project, authorization of users in a system will have to be carried out in domenemicrosoft by Active Directory. Access to the workstation should be implemented through thin clients. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Yandex Browser can be used as a browser. The development of server facilities will be carried out in the new DBMS based on Oracle prototypes.
