2021:12 years in prison for cheating 40 people for 180 million rubles

On October 18, 2021, the Zamoskvoretsky court sentenced the former head of the Center for Legal Support and Rehabilitation Valery Perevoznikov to 12 years in a penal colony for deceiving dozens of people with disabilities.

The court found that in 2017-2018, Perevoznikov fraudulently seized the funds of 40 disabled people in the amount of 179 million rubles. He concluded contracts with citizens for the manufacture of prostheses, and then did not fulfill his obligations by appropriating the money received. The businessman was found guilty of committing crimes under parts 3, 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).

Earlier, Perevoznikov was already convicted and sentenced to a real term of imprisonment for similar crimes. Including in relation to the Paralympic champion, who played for the Russian national volleyball team, as well as in relation to the veteran of hostilities in Chechnya.

The athlete's mother told Komsomolskaya Pravda that her daughter Elizaveta Kuntsman did not appeal to Perevoznikov for the first time - earlier he had successfully purchased prostheses for her. However, this time he issued a loan of 5 million rubles for her, promising that the Center for Legal Support and Rehabilitation would repay him, but this was not done.

Valery Perevoznikov headed LLC TsUPIR (Center for Legal Support and Rehabilitation). According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the company was registered on December 16, 2011 in Yekaterinburg. The authorized capital was 10 thousand rubles. The main work of the company was "Activity in the field of law." In addition, the organization was registered in the categories of OKVED "Other activities in the field of sports," "Retail trade in cosmetic and perfume products," "Provision of social services without housing" and others. Perevoznikov was the director and founder of the company. Jurlizo was liquidated in September 2014.[1]
