2021: Launch of Pilot Pilot for AI Microscopy Analysis

Resident "Skolkovo" Celly.AI October 22, 2021 announced the launch of a pilot with a network of laboratories "DiaLab" for the analysis of microscopy using AI.

The Celly.AI solution works on the basis of a neural network, which analyzes blood smears in real time. Using the device will help the DiaLab network optimize work, and patients - get results faster.

Blood smear microscopy is one of the main methods of laboratory research. Traditionally, it is carried out by a laboratory diagnostic doctor manually, which is why it is a rather time-consuming and resource-consuming analysis. In addition, if the laboratory does not currently have a doctor specializing in microscopy, a blood sample must be taken from one department to another, which increases the cost and timing of studies.

Celly.AI has developed a mobile application based on computer vision, which independently identifies and classifies blood cells. The smartphone connects to the circumference of the microscope, and the application analyzes the micropreparation using neural networks. The doctor can only confirm the final result on the web portal.

Together with the DiaLab network of laboratories, the company launches a pilot study - smears are scanned in remote branches immediately after blood sampling, and the digital result is validated by doctors from Moscow. Thus, the company optimizes its logistics network. In turn, patients will almost instantly receive a qualified opinion, and the cost of tests will decrease.
