In July, 2010 the IBM corporation announced project completion on implementation of the automated control system based on the hardware-software IBM platform in Biocad company. The automation system of enterprise management and budgeting "1C: Enterprise" based on IBM DB2 DBMS will provide effective development of development processes and production of new medicines for treatment of neurologic, urological and oncological diseases.
The project is implemented by forces of the business partner of 1C, Success Algorithm company, with the assistance of the business partner of IBM, Softline company.
The JSC Biocad is engaged in development and production of original and dzhenerikovy medicines in segments urology/gynecology, oncology and neurology. Promotion of medicines on the market is performed by a highly professional team of medical representatives in the 61st city of Russia and also in the territory of Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Due to the development of new medicines and development of the company, the management of Biocad the decision on system implementation of control automation by the enterprise was made. As a software platform for the solution DB2 and Linux OS DBMS was selected.

High performance of the solution on the Linux platform was one of important factors of the choice of IBM DB2 DBMS. It defined the solution of the customer considering also the Microsoft SQL Server platform.
In plans of JSC Biocad - to use DB2 as the main DBMS for all core business processes of the company, in particular, for laboratory research system and an electronic document management system.
