2021: Adding Risk Hunting Functionality

Metalloinvest and JSA Group (part of IKS Holding) have expanded the capabilities of the company's corporate application. Additional functionality will allow employees of Metalloinvest enterprises to timely identify and monitor the elimination of risks related to production safety. This was announced on October 27, 2021 by IKS Holding.

The application is installed on a smartphone, with the help of which an employee of the enterprise photographs a place or situation that is potentially dangerous to the life or health of his colleagues. Having completed the short form, he sends the information to a special internal platform, where the potential risk is recorded, the person responsible for its elimination is appointed, a preliminary list of necessary measures and a deadline for resolving the issue is determined. After completing the task, the employee receives a notification and a photo confirming the activities.

Additional functionality for "risk hunting" is already available in the corporate application from Ural Steel employees who have previously completed the necessary training. By the end of 2021, it is planned to introduce the solution at the remaining Metalloinvest enterprises.

"Risk hunting" is one of the methods used as part of the integrated approach to occupational safety and safety management, introduced at all Metalloinvest enterprises since 2020. Employees are taught to "scan" the surrounding space, notice potential risks in the usual environment and find opportunities to eliminate them. This creates a culture of responsible behavior, conscious leadership in safety issues, contributes to the transition from reactive response to accidents to proactive work to prevent them.
