IPChain Association to implement blockchain infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan

2021: Intellectual Property Blockchain Infrastructure Implementation Agreement

On October 27, 2021, the IPChain Association entered into an agreement with the state institution "Project Office" (established by the Government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan), dealing with digitalization. According to the text of the document, the parties agreed to introduce an intellectual property blockchain infrastructure in the republic .

The agreement provides that the IPChain Association will accompany the deployment in Kyrgyzstan of a national public network (blockchain) infrastructure for making transactions with intellectual property objects. The initiative will help to increase the competitiveness of Kyrgyz companies and increase the export of their products thanks to innovative approaches to regulating relations in the field of creating and using intellectual property and creating a regulatory environment attractive to international investors.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, President of the Eurasian Patent Office Saule Tlevlesova, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Head of the Project Office Pavel Khripunov, President of the IPChain Association Andrei Krichevsky and Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of Skolkovo on Intellectual Property Maxim. The center was opened on the basis of the State Intellectual Property Agency of Kyrgyzstan. It has a laboratory of industrial innovation, a library, a coworking zone and a space for children passionate about science. An important feature of the Centre will be the opportunity to receive advice on intellectual property management and to use appropriate services.

The opening of the Center is another page in the history of the Kyrgyz innovation community, "said Andrei Krichevsky. It is pleasant to realize that Kyrgyzstan not only creates favorable conditions for innovators, but is also ready to actively introduce regulatory and digital solutions for the protection and protection of intellectual property. The first steps of the opening of the Center were attracting investments in innovative projects, which involve the introduction of blockchain infrastructure, which allows us to combine efforts to force digital transformations in the country, create and promote sustainable mechanisms for the development of the sphere of digital transformation, implement joint actions aimed at the development of domestic producers and the formation of a positive image of Kyrgyzstan as a whole.

The innovation center is built entirely at state expense. Over time, such centers are planned to be built in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
