Skillbox, in turn, said that the changes are being carried out as part of the formation of a new organizational structure and the implementation of a strategy aimed at strengthening the leadership of Skillbox holding in the Russian online education market. At the same time, the goal of GeekBrains will remain the same - the platform helps to gain knowledge in popular specialties and areas in the field of IT.

It was important for us that a company that specializes in teaching IT professions was led by a person with an extensive technical background and serious experience in the field of education. Alexander was instrumental in expanding the platform's product line. We are grateful to him for his contribution to the development of GeekBrains and wish him success in further work, - said the press service of SkillBox.

By March 15, 2023, Alexander Volchek's page on the Geekbrains website is not available. When you try to access it, the site displays the message "404. There seems to be no such page. "

Volchek has served as CEO of GeekBrains since the end of 2020. By March 2023, he is also a co-owner of the A24 service company, which provides support services for business.

Former Skillbox co-owner Andrei Anishchenko said that the period of extensive growth of the holding companies is ending. According to him, the market for additional vocational education "is moving into a mature stage," in this regard, a systematic management and a consistent increase in profits are needed in decision-making.[1]
