2021: Product Announcement

In Russia, an IoT sensor for opening windows and doors has been developed, which does not need to be charged for 5 years. The technology was created in the company "SmartEkoSistema," which is part of the concern "Automatics."

According to the Rostec press service (this state corporation includes Automatics), a device that supports the NB-IoT standard allows you to continuously monitor the condition of windows and doors in the house or at the enterprise, record their opening or closing, timely sending a notification about this in the mobile application. As a result, the owner of the site or the security officer can learn about unauthorized entry in a timely manner.

According to the developers, the design of the device involves minimal service throughout the life cycle and little energy consumption for a long time. At the same time, a significant number of devices can be connected to one base station.

The technical characteristics of the presented sample guarantee uninterrupted operation with minimal maintenance, said Andrei Motorko, general director of the Automatics concern.  According to him, it is planned to develop a whole line of wireless sensors, which will be interesting to both corporate and private customers.

The sensor itself, as well as a special software and mobile application for device control, have been developed by SmarteKoSistema engineers. It is noted that the technical solutions and software used in the development of the NB-IoT opening sensor provide a high level of data protection. In particular, the device uses means of identification and authentication, a log of events and actions of the administrator, means of controlling access to internal elements of the device, its dismantling, as well as other security mechanisms. This helps to protect commercial and private users from hacking devices.
