2021: Creating an IT platform for infrastructure construction for 1 billion rubles

In November 2021, the creation of the Preon IT platform, designed for infrastructure construction, was announced in Russia. The implementation of the project, in which more than 1 billion rubles are invested, was taken up by the Autobahn group, Roads and Bridges JSC and the developer of Aibim BIM technologies.

As planned by partners, an IT platform based on BIM technology will help minimize costs and reduce the time to build and repair roads. The service will contain information about both the construction of the facility and its condition during operation. Companies involved in the road construction industry will work in the same digital space, which will help optimize and standardize all processes.

In Russia, they are developing an IT platform for infrastructure construction for 1 billion rubles

Customers, contractors, regulators, designers and operating companies will be able to connect to the new platform.

The goal of the Preon project is to improve the quality and reduce the construction time of road infrastructure. As a result, the entire industry is planned to help reach the level of global indicators. According to the participants, this task can be solved using information modeling, as well as by moving to a new construction management technology.

Everyone is interested in the rapid and high-quality development of the road construction industry, on which the country's economic growth depends. Therefore, our decision to unite in order to create a digital platform for all industry players is a logical and timely step on this path. We understand that the joint development of common standards will increase the profitability of work as a whole and will make any processes for the construction and operation of infrastructure facilities transparent and effective, the company "Roads and Bridges" said in a statement.
