2021: Announcement of motorcycle emergency call system
In mid-November 2021, GLONASS JSC presented the Emergency Call System for Motorcyclists (SVEOS). It automatically determines the fact of an accident and transmits information to the ERA-GLONASS system, helping emergency services respond to what happened quickly.
The solution includes several services:
- Location monitoring service - it shall be possible to switch on and off ACS mode (determination and recording of coordinates, speed, direction of movement by timer, distance traveled, rotation angle + transmission of packets by specified timer to programmable IP address and port);
- Motorcycle Impact Reporting Service - Supports the function of an autonomous search beacon with identification of the owner of the motorcycle using a Bluetooth tag and informing the owner of the motorcycle in case of physical impact on the motorcycle (impact, inclination, fall, movement). By default, notifications can be implemented in the mobile application for CES, as well as using SMS messages (if the owner of CES does not use the application);
- Motorcycle Position in Space Visualization Service - the motorcycle position in space visualization function should be supported based on recorded logs with the layout of a motorcycle motion video clip with a length of at least 3 minutes;
- POS notification service, accident - the emergency notification function (POS, accident) should be implemented. The mobile application should be able to access the contact directory and select a list (group) of proxies receiving notification in the mobile application for the CES (if established), a message in the WhatsApp, or an SMS message containing the incident status and location coordinates.
According to the magazine "Behind the Wheel," the new system will make new motorcycles more expensive by about 25 thousand rubles, which will be a significant increase in the cost of inexpensive vehicles.[1]
