2021: Use cryptobiocabins to make a passport

In the MFC Ugra, a passport can now be issued using cryptobiocabins. This was announced on November 18, 2021 by the Department of Information Technology of Ugra.

Cryptobiokabins will work in seven municipalities of the Autonomous Okrug: Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut, Kogalym, Megion, Nizhnevartovsk, Nefteyugansk, Nyagan. The installation of cryptobiocabins was carried out by PJSC Rostelecom.

The opening of the cryptobiocabin in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk was attended by the director of the Department of Economic Development of Ugra - Deputy Governor of Ugra Roman Genkel, director of the Department of Information Technology and Digital Development of the Autonomous Okrug, Pavel Tsiporin director MFTS of Ugra AU. Vladimir Mikhailov

Cryptobiocabin is a service for issuing biometric passports that provides and registers data transfer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which accelerates and simplifies the receipt of this service by Ugorsk residents at times. The main feature of this device is the security of data transmission. The procedure begins in the window for receiving and issuing documents, where the applicant gives the MFC employee a standard package of documents for issuing a passport. The received information is recorded in an electronic questionnaire, the result of which is a unique barcode. It becomes the key for cryptobiocabin, which considers biometric information - takes a photo and reads the papillary pattern of the fingers. Cryptobiocabin securely ensures the safety of personal data: information from the electronic questionnaire is sent via one communication channel, and biometric information is sent differently. As a result, all information will be combined using a unique code only in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the issue of issuing a passport will be decided.

The first to test this technology to get a service was the Director of Depit Technologies of Ugra Pavel Tsiporin. The project was implemented by the Department of Information Technology and the Department of Economics of Ugra as part of the National Program "Digital Economy of Russia."
