2021: Implementation of a solution for monitoring the transport of bulk cargo without GSM

The Reskom-Tyumen company builds roads, sites and landfills in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, on Salekhard and on the Ob Bay. A solution was required to monitor the transport of bulk goods without GSM. The company's specialists use the collected information to monitor the timing and quality of construction work, as well as predict the payback period of equipment. This was announced on November 19, 2021 by Galileosky.

The integrator company Nova Track has developed a solution for monitoring the transportation of sand and crushed stone outside the cellular network. It is based on Galileosky 7x Wi-Fi Hub terminals and Easy Logic technology. The system allows you to transfer data from equipment in the Far North and remotely monitor construction work.

Devices receive data from equipment that is permanently located in the territory without cellular communication, and send it to the server in special geozones with a GSM signal. Transportation enters them, and the Galileosky 7x Wi-Fi Hub terminal includes a mode for receiving or sending data. He can "load" daily data from equipment in 5 minutes. Sending data to the server takes 15 minutes.

Galileosky terminals are equipped with a separate stand-alone device and configured with Easy Logic for two modes of operation: data collection and upload of data via Wi-Fi. When the transport returns to the communication area, at the company's office, the terminal is switched to unloading mode over a configured Wi-Fi network channel. Such a scheme prevents data loss and is guaranteed to work despite the very weak on the Internet in the territory.

Devices collect and send data on the amount of equipment that left the geozone, the fact of unloading materials (the fact of lifting the body), the time and location of unloading, the volume of sand or crushed stone delivered, and fuel consumption. The obtained data allow you to keep records of the transported cargo, monitor the work and calculate the payback period of the equipment.

As part of the first stage of the project, 100 pieces of equipment were equipped with terminals. In the near future, it is planned to equip several hundred more units of transport. This will allow you to systematically monitor the business processes of the company and generate reports on many indicators.
