2021: Connecting to Korus: Inventory Management 45 stores

Korus Consulting Group on February 18, 2021 announced that it had automated the procurement process for the Kalina-Malina farm cooperative. In just a month of using the Korus: Inventory Management service in 45 stores of the network, revenue growth at various points of sale reached 37%, out-of-stock indicators decreased by 30%, and write-offs decreased by 8%. On November 2021, the project is scaling up, until the end of 2021, the entire network of more than 100 stores will be connected to the service.

Kalina-Malin is own retail chain stores of the Kemerovo producer of sausages and meat delicacies "Country economy of A. Volkov. P". Over 5 years of operation, the project has grown to a network player managing a hundred retail outlets. The current inventory management process throughout the retail network took employees 2 hours a day, but did not allow effective use of this time: errors in orders led to lost sales due to lack of goods, or to write-offs due to excess perishable products. With the opening of outlets and the growth of business, the company decided to review and optimize the approach to inventory management. To do this, the company decided to connect the CORUS: Inventory Management cloud service from KORUS Consulting Group of Companies.

The work was carried out in stages. First, network employees conducted an inventory of stores and balances in warehouses and updated the information in ERP. Further, KORUS Consulting specialists set up an integration system and a cloud service, transferred data on sales and balances for goods, shipment schedules, a supplier base and parameters for working with them to the tool. Then the project team defined the project KPI: out-of-stock targets, write-offs, and order generation time - and launched the service.

The tool was connected in just two months. During the pilot operation period of KORUS: Inventory Management, the procurement performance indicators went up. As a result of the introduction of the service, revenue growth for various stores reached 37%, out-of-stock indicators decreased by 30%, and write-offs decreased by 8%. The company also managed to free up half of the working time of employees participating in procurement and redistribute it to tasks in trading rooms.

Our employees perform long-term calculations and applications twice a day. Each time, all these tasks took them an average of two hours. The service made it possible to free this resource from routine operations, while improving the quality of work with purchases. And employees have more time for other tasks: helping buyers and maintaining order in the trading room, "said Alexander Mironov, a leading auto-order specialist at the Kalina-Malina farm cooperative.

Speed is especially important for the actively developing retail market - which is why retail companies are increasingly opting for SaaS-based solutions. This allows you to quickly connect new tools, scale them - and get the first results in a short time. For several months of using our auto order service, Kalina-Malina did not just optimize the inventory management process, but was able to calculate the specific benefit of the tool expressed in digital indicators, "said Alexandra Moskalenko, head of Inventory Management at KORUS Consulting Group of Companies.
