Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk buses are equipped with smart systems from EuroMobile

2021: Equipping MAZ-206 bus information and communication systems

EuroMobile has completed a project to equip MAZ-206 bus information and communication systems for MUP Transport Company. This became known on November 22, 2021.

The bus in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is the most popular and the only means of transportation, both in the city and outside it, so it is very important that the Yuzhno-Sakhalins have safe and comfortable passenger transport. According to the administration of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the replenishment of the fleet of municipal unitary enterprise "Transport Company" was one of the first measures of the reform of public transport, which started at the initiative of the mayor of the city Sergey Nadsadin.

Yuzhno-Sakhalin MAZs have received modern IT systems that provide:

• video monitoring of what is happening on the bus online. The video surveillance system includes a video recorder and 8 cameras that are installed in the bus compartment, in the driver's cab and outside above the entrance doors. The video surveillance system is certified in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 969;
• Passenger information is realized thanks to bright and large signage, on which stops, route and bus number are displayed. In addition, the bus operates an audio warning system, which is synchronized with the navigation system of the bus;
• visually informing passengers, which is carried out through the information media panel. Passengers can see the route of the bus, and a variety of video content - from weather information to news of economics and sports;
• control of the driver's mode of operation, which is carried out thanks to the established tachograph;
• tracking the bus route

As a bonus, EuroMobile engineers carried out integration media systems of the bus with an alert service, MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS thanks to which passengers will be shown announcements of the Ministry of Emergencies in real time.

The main quality of the equipment is that it runs on environmentally friendly and more economical fuel. The updated MAZ-206 buses have passed all the tests and are already running along route No. 222, which connects Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk with the village of Troitskoye.

An important feature of the cabin monitor screen and the LED line is that they are visible from anywhere on the bus cabin, so passengers know exactly which stop will be next, especially important for guests of the city^[1]
