CORUS Consulting completed budgeting system implementation in "Nikomed Rossiya-SNG"
Oracle Hyperion Planning was selected by a corporate system of budgeting from NYCOMED corporation worldwide. The Russian project became the first experience of implementation of this software product among all divisions of NYCOMED and validated, both the choice of the system, and the made decision on need of automation of budget process for corporation.
The closed tender for the choice of a budgeting system for "Nikomed Rossiya-SNG" was held in the summer of 2008. The choice of Corus Consulting as the partner in implementation was caused by presence at the company of experience of development of the system of budgeting for large holdings and groups, the pharmaceutical enterprises, multinational corporations, existence of broad examination in Oracle Hyperion Planning.
Implementation of Oracle Hyperion Planning allowed to develop "Nikomed Rossiya-SNG" the general base of budget information for Russia and the CIS countries, to provide uniform methods of financial planning, to solve a problem of control of deviations "plan fact" and other analysis types. The mechanism of formation of consolidated budgets as for internal use (for the top management of the company), and for the reporting before management company, at the same time distribution of information between participants of budget process happens to observance of requirements of confidentiality and differentiation of access rights is created.
On start of the project in the winter of 2008 before a joint team of specialists of "Nikomed Rossiya-SNG" and Corus Consulting there were absolutely specific objectives: provide planning for 2010, create the strategic plan for 5 years ahead and modify the budget of 2009 in a new budgeting system.
"In a work progress over the project setting of the analysis of budget and actual data was executed, for the purposes of automation the existing budget model is finished, role instructions of users are developed. Besides, in Moscow training of 100 participants of budget process working at offices "Nikomed Russia-CIS" in Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Kazakhstan was provided", - Nadezhda Pritulyuk, the project manager from Corus Consulting comments. - "Process of drawing up real budgets in the system which did not undergo trial operation was very risky, but business could not wait", - the expert emphasizes. For risk minimization and support of participants of budget process "hot line" was organized – users could call participants of a project team and quickly get the help and advice, to enter wishes on changes in a system.
Dense communication with the foreign specialists of NYCOMED corporation in parallel conducting automation of consolidation of the final reporting of transnational pharmaceutical holding became feature of this project. Such approach to work allowed not only to exchange experience and to develop joint project solutions, but also to perform the project of integration of a local budgeting system with a corporate system of Oracle Hyperion Planning. As a result the final reporting is transferred to management company already in a required type.
