VTB (a single platform for corporate content management)

The representative office of Oracle CIS announced project completion on implementation of a single platform for corporate content management of Oracle Universal Content Management in VTB bank. The new storage system and document handlings (DESCENT) allowed VTB to optimize work with reporting documents in the shortest possible time.

As noted, the choice by the customer of the Oracle Universal Content Management complex, component of family of a middleware of Oracle Fusion Middleware, is caused, first of all, by the broad functionality of a product necessary for support of development of SHOD in a short-term and long-term outlook. Among key features of the Oracle platform there is an ability to integrate with the existing information systems of bank, obtaining from them documents and reports, maintaining and storage of archive of electronic documents in a convenient type, providing to users of an information access and providing ample opportunities under approval and also support of work with the electronic digital signature (EDS). Besides, the Oracle UCM platform has the high level of scalability and convenience in operation, emphasized in Oracle.

Implementation took place with active participation of bank. The first processes implemented based on a single platform for content management were started in work in four months after the beginning of development on the project. In general the new storage system and information processing allowed bank to increase efficiency under approval of documents and reports, to reduce labor input of processes of work with archive of the structured and unstructured content and to refuse storage on paper carriers of a number of the report forms and documents resolved the Central Bank.

The project on implementation of Oracle UCM expanded a range of the products of Oracle applied in bank. In VTB it is already used both technologies, and the business application of corporation – Oracle Database, Oracle Financial Services Applications, etc.

Further we plan expansion of borders of use of a content management system based on Oracle UCM for other processes of bank connected with storage and document handling in electronic form", – Nazipov Dmitry, the senior vice president of VTB, the head of the department of information technologies of VTB bank said.
