2021: US and European vaccines in Poland accounted for 26% of deaths from COVID-19
At the end of November 2021, the ministry health care Poland first revealed the mortality from coronavirus COVID-19 among those who were vaccinated against it. According to the results of November 29, 526 deaths from coronavirus infection were recorded in Poland, among which 140 people were vaccinated, and 386 did not receive any vaccinations. Thus, vaccinated people accounted for approximately 26% of deaths, the causes of which are associated with complications due to COVID-19.
The Polish Ministry of Health noted that 109 patients who died per day were vaccinated with severe comorbidities. Their average age was 65 years.
Previously, the ministry did not disclose data on mortality from coronavirus among vaccinated people - this statistic was disclosed for the first time at the end of November 2021. At the same time, the Ministry of Health did not specify what kind of vaccines the deceased patients were vaccinated with. It is known that the country is vaccinated with drugs, Pfizer, and Moderna. AstraZeneca Johnson & Johnson
Polish Deputy Minister of Health Waldemar Kraska said that on December 13, 2021, vaccination against COVID-19 children aged 5 to 11 years will begin in the country. According to him, by this date, vaccination points should receive the necessary amount of vaccine doses intended for this age.
Mass vaccination against coronavirus in Poland started on December 27, 2020 and is carried out on a voluntary basis. By the end of November 2021, about 24.3 million residents underwent a full vaccination course in the 38 million-year-old country.
At the end of November 2021, the Polish newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna gained access to a report from the Polish Ministry of Health, which analyzed mortality in the country from COVID-19. According to this report, there were 32 thousand more deaths from COVID-19 in Poland than official statistics say.
The reason for this discrepancy, according to the authors of the report, could be a large burden on doctors for whom statistics were not a priority during the pandemic. Therefore, part of the deaths were not recorded as caused by COVID-19.[1]
