2021: Platform Announcement

In early December 2021, Amazon announced the release of a new low-code development tool called Amplify Studio, which is designed to help developers quickly create applications connected to the cloud. The service is an extension of the existing AWS Amplify, which is already focused on creating web and mobile applications.

Amazon launches AWS Amplify Studio platform for application development with minimal code writing

Amazon Web Services (AWS) made an interesting move by connecting Studio to the popular Figma user interface design tool. This allows designers to create an interface in Figma, and then developers can connect it to their internal data and build application logic in Studio. It also frees the company from having to create its own design tool. If necessary, developers can also override some of the pre-created components in Amplify Studio using the AWS Cloud Development Kit. The company claims that thanks to this, developers will not rest on the wall, not being able to scale their applications as their needs grow.

As noted by Amazon Technical Director Werner Vogels, the company still believes that this is a service for developers, mainly for front-end engineers. This means that developers can easily export their applications to an existing pipeline. DevOps The Amplify Figma file includes both user interface primitives and pre-created components. Studio can also synchronize any new components created in Figma. You can also synchronize components from Figma with Amplify Studio. On December 3, 2021, a preliminary version of Amplify Studio was opened for developers, the AWS team plans to make a number of improvements, and then make it publicly available.[1]
