2021: Introduction of metal detector frames with thermal imaging camera

The company "Stroy Voronezh Region" initiated the installation of a solution in schools in the city - the framework of a metal detector with a thermal imaging camera from VisionLabs (part of the Sberbank ecosystem). Thanks to the change, the educational environment has become safer for both students and school staff: the framework not only allows you to detect potentially dangerous objects, but also non-contact measures the temperature of all those entering the building. This was announced by VisionLabs on December 7, 2021.

The metal detector frames installed in schools have a built-in face detection function, which ensures accurate positioning of the measurement at the target point with an error of only 0.3 ° - even if the person is 3 meters from the frame. Due to the high sensitivity, the frames are flexibly adjusted: for example, you can set a threshold so that the design does not respond to students' personal small belongings - rings, watches, belt buckles, mobile phones, but at the same time recognizes prohibited objects, including cold and firearms.

Thanks to the ability to identify 18 different areas of the human body, the frames will indicate exactly where the object is hidden: the light indicators of the posts will light up on the side and at the height where it is located. Once a threat is detected, the frames will be further notified by an alarm beep.

Recording of increased temperature values ​ ​ of students and teachers is also accompanied by an audio signal, simultaneously with the start of the stroboscope; the temperature values ​ ​ themselves are displayed on the touch screen installed on the arch, through which, among other things, frames are adjusted. The functionality of the framework is provided by a special VVisionLabs Termo - it processes data obtained from a thermal imaging camera and a person identification system.

By automating the temperature measurement process, the frames increase the throughput of passing schools, enhance the safety of being in the building of the educational institution and allow you to monitor and monitor the epidemiological situation on its territory using statistics. It shows how many people passed through the metal detector and how many of them had a temperature above the set threshold. Such an approach will help to identify the level of morbidity and take appropriate measures in time.
