December 8, 2021 it became known about the creation by Vedroid Electronics of a new model of a robot cleaner VeDroid for industrial wet cleaning of large rooms. One of the main innovations is associated with the advent of the function of automatic drainage of dirty water and a clean bay. In addition, the device is independently sent to the charging station when the batteries are discharged.

Another innovation is the use of lithium-ion batteries, thanks to which the charging time was reduced from 8 to 2 hours. At the same time, the battery life of the devices has doubled and is 2 hours. It is noted that the 100-kilogram device is assembled from metal plastic. It has an ergonomic shape, which makes it more ductile than the previous model.

Our product is a new solution in optimizing costs and improving the quality of work performed. He removes a large physical load on wet cleaning of large areas with high cross-country capacity as warehouses, sports facilities, airports, presentation sites, and also solves a painful issue with the "fluid" of personnel, "said Nikolai Potapov, general director of Vedroid Electronics.

According to him, at the first stage a small batch of robots will be manufactured, which will be tested in the CIS countries. In the future, it is planned to export products to Western markets, primarily to the United States, "where the market has long been ripe for replacing personnel with robots," Potapov emphasized.

For the commercial implementation of the Vedroid Electronics project, he won three micro grants from the Skolkovo Foundation. The total amount of financial support amounted to 3.9 million rubles. The company has already received a large order for the supply of 100 robots to Kazakhstan, and also concluded contracts with cleaning companies of the Ural Federal District. The cost of a robot cleaner VeDroid by December 8, 2021 is not called.^[1]
