GateWall Mail Security (Antispam)

In GateWall Mail Security multi-stage filtering of incoming messages is implemented: on connections, to the source address, on a destination address and according to contents. Check of SMTP traffic is performed by two built-in anti-virus modules: Kaspersky Labs and Panda Antivirus.

GateWall Mail Security provides information on all messages processed by the GateWall Antispam server. Monitoring of messages allows to execute filtering by date, on the status of processing (is delivered/is blocked), to the address of a source or appointment, to execute forced sending the messages blocked as spam and also to create lists of exceptions.

Use of cloud-technology allows to carry out pro-active work on virus detection. Thus, Commtouch Zero-Hour begins fight against a new virus until as it will strike millions of computers.

For convenience of users in GateWall Antispam 1.1 in rules the feature to change a priority of processing of e-mails is added, management of services is available in the web console now, and in the history of messages it is possible to select any range of dates.

In the new version of a product the system of rules on work with the files attached in an e-mail appeared. For example, it is possible to prohibit opening of executable files, thereby, having secured a system against infection with trojans. Careful work on optimization of functioning of a mail delivery service is carried out, in particular, the pop3 loader providing a possibility of assembly of mail from external domains is added.

Gatewall Antispam 2.0

During the work on Gatewall Antispam 2.0 as a priority task increase in fault tolerance of a product in general and adding of a monitoring system behind processing of messages - the Manager of events was.

The manager of events is intended for tracking of all lifecycle (receiving – processing - delivery) the e-mails arriving on a mail gateway of Gatewall Antispam and also for serviceability check of modules of the server. Using flexible filtering system it is possible to trace a way of any letter via the gateway. It gives the highest level of control over a flow of e-mails. Thus, the user receives only the necessary letters, and the probability of arrival of spam comes down to zero.

Also function of anti-virus check of letters is built in Gatewall Antispam 2.0 that, together with processing system the files attached in the message, allows to take a malicious code from messages for security of the workstation and corporate network in general.

GateWall Mail Security 2.1

In the system of data protection three types of filtering are used: Regular expressions (Regexp), Comparison of documents (Docmatch) and Lemmatizer. Each of submodules, using different methods of information search in a body, a subject, investments and other parts of the letter, investigates e-mails on existence in them of a certain key word or phrases and carries out comparison of transmitted data with samples of confidential information. Depending on the rules set by the administrator, the letter after passing via filters and all checks it can be passed, rejected (failure in sending) or it is delayed. Notifications on operation of a system are sent to the e-mail address specified in the main settings of a system. Thus, GateWall Mail Security provides total control of all e-mail of the company.

Also in GateWall Mail Security there was an opportunity to set time zones, storage lives of messages in a quarantine and a number of conditions \actions when processing e-mails is added.

GateWall Mail Security 2.2

In the appeared version of a product the updated anti-virus module from Kaspersky Lab is implemented. The system of notifications about delivery \nondelivery of messages to addressees underwent changes, for example, the procedure of search of the letters specified in notifications is simplified. Besides, GateWall Mail Security 2.2 began to support the starttls protocol. Developers carry also out work on performance improvement and fault tolerance of the software solution.

GateWall Mail Security 2.9

In GateWall Mail Security 2.9 stability of work is increased and the speed of work with the database is improved. The new version of a product can be used in the companies with number of users to 5-10 thousand. Antivirus protection against Avira is built in GateWall Mail Security also along with already available antiviruses. The set of small improvements according to wishes of the acting users of the software solution is also made.
