2021: Launch of heart valve production in Kirov region

On December 8, 2021, it became known about the launch by the Special Design Bureau of Medical Subjects (SKB MT) of a project for the production of high-tech products for cardiovascular surgery in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kirov Region. We are talking about the manufacture of aortic prostheses, valve hearts conducting swirling flows without destruction, blood as well as silicone medical drainage with a radiopaque strip.

According to the press service of the SME Corporation, under its guarantee, the Monotowns Development Fund (ВЭБ.РФ) will issue a loan to the MT SKB in the amount of 100 million rubles for 12 years at 0% per annum. The total investment in the project will amount to 150 million rubles. Funds will be allocated for the construction of a new production building with an area of ​ ​ more than 900 square meters. m, as well as the purchase and installation of modern equipment.

In the Kirov region, the production of heart valves for ₽150 million is launched

It is noted that the implementation of the project will allow the company to modernize technological processes, increase the volume of products produced, as well as begin certification procedures for production and products for export deliveries. The company will create about 20 new jobs.

According to the SME Corporation, the new heart valve prosthesis, which will produce MT SCB, has a number of unique properties that make it possible to fundamentally improve the life of patients in the postoperative period, and can be recommended, including for the treatment of children in adolescence and people with low body weight. Previously, providers of prostheses of traditional designs for this group of patients in Russia were almost not represented.

According to the SPARK-Interfax system, by December 2021, SKB MT LLC was 81% owned by Sergey Evdokimov, manager of MedInzh NPP, and Andrei Anisimov, 19%. In 2021, SKB MT entered into contracts in the state order market for 36.6 million rubles.[1]
