Sanitex started the large-scale project on automation of warehouse logistics

The 4PL-operator, largest in the Baltics, the Sanitex company, started the large-scale project on automation of warehouse logistics based on the Manhattan Associates SCALE system. As the partner in implementation the Corus Consulting company was selected. It is one of the most large-scale projects implemented by Corus Consulting in the field of logistics.

Need of solution development for automation of warehouses not only in the different cities, but also the countries belongs to features of the project.

According to Ivan Smirnov, the project manager of Korus Konsaltinng company, after input in commercial operation of a warehouse complex of the company in Kaunas and end of the stabilization period replication of the received standard solution is planned for all warehouse complexes entering into logistic structure of the company. For all warehouse complexes of Lithuania and Latvia use of two separate installations of the selected software product is planned.

The global plans of customer organization are replication of a system on all warehouses in the countries of the Baltics. In the next plans – integration and implementation of picking by voice technology ("voice actuation" - speech recognition of the operator of a warehouse the mobile computer), including selection of weight goods.

According to Ivan Smirnov, automation of 4PL and own distribution of the company, combination of different technologies of personnel management, integration with the system of routing of transport, with a head information system of the company, ERP systems of the partner companies, the system of tracking of sendings will become specific tasks within the project.
