2021: Training for teaching officers and cadets

On December 15, 2021, SearchInform announced training for teaching officers and cadets of the St. Petersburg Military Order of the Zhukov Institute of National Guard Troops on the topic "Identifying representatives of risk groups among personnel." The training focused on the impact of the human factor in protecting against threats to information security.

As part of the lesson, the leading analyst of SearchInform Leonid Churikov spoke about new methods of fraudsters to steal information, about what measures to use to protect it. Particular attention was paid to how to identify risk groups in the team - people who are prone to negligence and errors and are subject to manipulation.

Most cybercrime is committed with the involvement of insiders, that is, those people who have access to information by type of service. Fraudsters and cybercriminals can deceive, manipulate, bribe, blackmail insiders to get the necessary information. Therefore, it is important to learn to recognize tricks, and managers in teams to identify people who may fall under someone else's influence. We are pleased with the opportunity to conduct training on this topical topic for the current and future heads of military units and hope for the opportunity to continue cooperation, "said Leonid Churikov, lead analyst at SörchInform.

During the training, test and non-test diagnostic methods were considered to identify risk groups in the team. In particular, we were talking about the pros and cons of the use of printing checks, projective tests, interview conversations, as well as high-tech methods: digital profiling, behavioral analytics, analysis data from DLP systems (programs for monitoring employee actions at work places).

Periodically there are leaks of personal data of military personnel to the Internet. This information is of particular interest to fraudsters, representatives of extremist and terrorist organizations. Therefore, military personnel must be able to recognize their tricks, resist them, and avoid errors when working with data. We conduct a set of activities to give military personnel practical protection skills. High research interest in the problem was noted among the faculty of the institute and cadet units, as well as the activity of cadets in considering issues of ensuring information security in modern society. Threats to information security necessitate further work to counter the dissemination of illegal information and prevent violations in matters of ensuring information security, "said Colonel Eduard Ryabtsev, deputy head of the St. Petersburg Military Order of the Zhukov Institute of National Guard Troops for Personnel Management.
