2021: Adjustment of waste management scheme

In Sakhalin, the territorial waste management scheme and its electronic model were adjusted by order of the regional Ministry of Housing and Communal Services. The adjustment work in accordance with the contract was performed by the Etton group of companies, which reported this on December 22, 2021. Work on the contract started in June 2021.

Updating the territorial scheme will allow the region to receive a federal subsidy for the purchase of containers for separate garbage collection, provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.

In the process of updating the scheme, developers and environmentalists took into account new projects on the disposal and secondary use of garbage, fulfilled the forecast of tariff changes in the future until 2030 in 15 key parameters, including both infrastructure and organizational, and also presented all changes in dynamics - by year. The update project passed public discussions and was accepted by the regional customer.

To receive a subsidy in the region, a territorial scheme for the management of production and consumption wastes must be approved, and the procedure for the accumulation of municipal solid waste, which includes, inter alia, provisions on the introduction of separate accumulation of MSW, must be approved. In addition, the subject should have solid municipal waste treatment facilities that provide a full cycle of work: delivery, sorting, processing, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources said in a release.
