AMT BANK in July of the current year put a message exchange system of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 into operation. The bank refused use of IBM Lotus Notes and transferred all employees to a new mail system.
Process of implementation Microsoft Exchange Server and Outlook in bank took about a month. Exchange Server it was unrolled without replacement of the server hardware. At workstations of users applications Outlook 2010 and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 were installed. Top management of bank had an opportunity to browse mail and to respond to letters by means of pocket computers (PDA). Employees conduct discussions of office questions by e-mail and through Communicator which integrates possibilities of instant messaging and a voice communication. The IT service got access to the remote web interface Outlook Web App thanks to what in the round-the-clock technical support of users was organized.
With transition to the new software, processes of electronic approval of documents are simplified, maintenance expenses of the corresponding systems are cut down.
