"The bank of trade financing" included the core banking system "VA Bank 10g"

The FORS — Banking Systems company announced project completion on transfer of CB Bank of Trade Financing on the new version of the core banking system "VA Bank 10g". Six years ago the Bank made a choice for benefit of the integrated automated banking system "VA Bank" (the developer and the supplier - FORS-BS company). The core banking system "VA Bank" is constructed on the Oracle platform.

For successful functioning in modern conditions and supports of the growing volumes of business were required new opportunities of a banking system. It also caused transfer of activity of Bank to the core banking system of new generation - "For broke 10g". The new version of a system has the improved user interface, high processing speed of transactions, contains effective mechanisms of management of user rights, descriptions of business processes of bank and its product line that allows to reduce costs for maintenance of an information system. In the new version the available functional modules are also significantly added and processed, the following improvements are entered:

• opportunity for work not only in 2-unit, but also in 3-unit architecture;
• transfer of often used parameters in the user's context that gave performance gain;
• optimization of resource-intensive settlement algorithms, parallelization of accomplishment of computing transactions with use of multiprocessor data processing;
• optimization of processing of retail products. For example, process of creation of the deposit agreement with printout of all documents takes only 1.5 - 2 minutes;
• opportunity for work with the segmented database – its separation into operational and archive parts. Use of the latest technologies of Oracle allows to increase significantly system performance, optimum using hardware resources;
• "fast", or compiled, scenarios much reduce time of processing of the scenario that is very essential at accomplishment of group transactions;
• cross-platform - a core banking system opportunity for work on any software and hardware platform;
• integration with Microsoft Office and OpenOffice;
• the new designer of generation of the menu of the user allowing to create quickly and conveniently for each user or a user group the individual menu;
• the powerful commission mechanism allowing to configure charge and collection of any kinds of the commissions existing in the banking sector, to conduct an unlimited number of tariff plans and to set individual rates for clients;
• the hierarchical structure of bank is a possibility of processing of a difficult multifilial geographically distributed organization structure of bank;
• the access profiles providing to the employee of the bank setup, access and work with the core banking system according to the staff list and a position;
• increasing the level of security of a system by separation of functions of a security administrator (Oracle DBMS) and the administrator of business processes;
• the uniform client space, i.e. all divisions of bank work with a uniform card file of clients that excludes duplication of information, simplifies document flow and allows bank to have complete and transparent information on each client regardless of where and when he made banking activities.

Sviridetsky Alexey, the Director of the department of information technologies of "BANK of TRADE FINANCING", noted that transition to the new version of the core banking system "VA Bank 10g" allowed bank to increase high-speed performance of operating activities, it is essential to improve customer service quality, to expand a product row, to reduce costs for support of the core banking system and, as a result, to increase competitiveness of business in general. Large-scale work on migration was carried out in parallel and the current work of bank was not broken.
