2021: Network Upgrade
TALMER (part of IKS Holding) on December 28, 2021 announced that it is implementing a project to modernize and develop MegaFon's network, which covers all regions of the operator's presence in Russia.
TALMER performs the whole range of works: equipment supply, installation, configuration and integration, commissioning of units, if necessary, migration of existing services to new equipment, as well as provides round-the-clock technical support of solutions.
The project uses equipment that is intended for use in Mobile Backhaul (MBH) networks and has characteristics that meet the requirements for building modern MPLS transport networks for the mobile segment, providing high reliability of operation, supporting the quality of services in accordance with the specified SLA and the possibility of intranet synchronization to ensure the operation of base stations.
During the modernization of the network, TALMER specialists install new or replace existing equipment, which ensures an increase in the reliability and throughput of communication channels.
In 2021, more than 1,500 nodes of the transport network were launched. Installation and switching of services is carried out in all time zones of Russia in 24x7 mode.
The implementation of the project throughout Russia is a challenge that can only be overcome by a developed systematic approach to the implementation of projects of this scale. The rapid growth of traffic and its variety put forward high requirements for the level of quality and reliability of the operator's transport network, without which, the launch of new services will be limited or impossible. The development of the Mobile Backhaul network gives a large range of opportunities and provides competitive quality to the operator with the further development of the business, "commented Mikhail Efimenko, technical director of TALMER. |
