Svyaznoy Group (Scanify API: Passport)

In retail network "Svyaznoy" the system of scanning and recognition of identity documents of Scanify API is implemented: Passport developed by Cognitive Technologies company. The agreement signed between Svyaznoy Group and Cognitive Technologies provides delivery of 3200 licenses Scanify API: Passport.

To follow current trends in customer service by the management of Svyaznoy Group the decision to automate process of input of identity documents of clients was made. For this purpose the program interface Scanify API was built in the information systems working at outlets of the company: Passport. A system allows to recognize automatically at the placement on glass of the scanner of the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation or the car driver license the data which are contained in them and to save them in the IC for further use in business process of document creation at sale of the personified services.

Important technology feature of a system is function of separation of necessary information from a stamp background and other "noise" information, as does possible recognition of such difficult documents as the passport. Using Scanify API: Passport is possible not only to recognize text information from the document, but also to save the photo, the signature and a graphic image of the scanned document as separate files. Implementation of the program interface developed by Cognitive Technologies allows to increase several times data input rate in comparison with reprinting and also to reduce quantity of the errors arising at manual document handling.
