Four Russian universities: Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Tomsk state university, the Southern Ural university and N.I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod signed summer of 2010 the Agreement on formation of Supercomputer consortium of the universities. A main goal of consortium is development and providing a complex of the actions directed to effective use of capacity of the higher school for development and implementation of supercomputer technologies in Russian education, science and the industry. The agreement is signed by the rector of MSU Viktor Sadovnichii, the rector of TGU Georgi Maier, the rector of SUSU Alexander Shestakov and the rector of NSU Evgeny Chuprunov. The rector of MSU Viktor Sadovnichii became the president of consortium.
