The distribution center Record is automated using the WMS system

The distribution center Record completed the most large-scale implementation project for the last five years based on the WMS system "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse". The project is executed by Axelot company.

Moving of a warehouse on new to the area became one of premises of implementation of the new WMS system: on 20,000 sq.m. of a warehouse about 400,000 positions of goods are stored (from them 20,000 active), daily serviced up to 350 orders, in each of which – up to 180 positions of goods.

When choosing a warehouse management system several programs of the Russian and foreign developers for such criteria as functionality, performance, openness of the code, speed of implementation and the price were estimated.

At the first stage of the project for the fastest organization of effective work of a warehouse on the new place it was decided to implement a drawing system without completions. Specialists of the company integrator performed the paramentrichesky WMS systems tuning for automation of transactions of acceptance, placement, movement, selection, replenishment of a fissile region of storage and shipment.

Development of a system was executed on the next stages. In a project deliverable in the distribution center of the company address storage of goods is organized, acceptance by quantity and quality is conducted, the goods are placed in a warehouse taking into account different standard sizes of transport carriers, at "feed" the coefficient of turnover of goods is considered; before shipment of the collected order its control is made.

In WMS, without information transfer in a corporate system and accounting of structure and enclosure, end-to-end account, acceptance, placement, storage and shipment of the depersonalized loads going as transit goods through the distribution center in shops is kept. During the project the scheme of exchange between WMS and a system "1C is developed and implemented: Management torgovoly", user training is provided, commercial operation of WMS is begun. All warehouse transactions are executed using 90 radio data collection terminals of Motorola; 60 stationary jobs are in addition automated.

One of features of the distribution center is existence in it of the zone Cash&Carry intended for independent selection of goods by small wholesale clients. Merchandising in this zone is also regulated using the WMS system according to the developed technology algorithms. As selection of goods "is not tied" to storage cell addresses here, in WMS transaction of selection without indication of the actual cell is implemented: the goods which are selected by the client get on a table to the operator of a zone of packaging where using the barcode scanner information on it comes to a system which creates further the order for shipment; at the same time the goods are written off from the first in specially configured rating of a cell of the zone Cash&Carry.
