PJSC Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant and LLC Siemens have concluded an agreement on the deployment of an integration platform and the creation of a competence center based on MMK. The document was signed by Pavel Shilyaev, General Director of MMK PJSC and Alexander Lieberov, President of Siemens in Russia. This was announced by Siemens on January 24, 2022.

The platform will enable the implementation of plans to integrate all the Group's industries into a single information space, which, in turn, will ensure the transparency of technological operations and increase the level of production management.

Siemens and MMK project teams have already begun joint work. In particular, a roadmap for the implementation of the platform on the site of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant was developed. At the first stage, it is planned to conduct an audit of the digital landscape of the enterprise, on the basis of which the architecture for building a single information space based on WinCC Open Architecture will be developed, the concept of interaction with other components of the MMK digital platform has been developed, and information security issues have been worked out.

In the second and subsequent stages, work is planned to deploy the platform on the information resources of MMK PJSC and implement specific practical cases based on it.

An important stage of the implementation of the platform will be the formation of the WinCC OA Competence Center on the basis of MMP-Informservice. As part of this task, the resource base of the center will be determined and created and MMK specialists will be trained.
