The Federal Agency for Special Construction created a data network and the system of a video conferencing

In Federal Agency for Special Construction creation of a system of a video conferencing is complete. The project was executed by specialists of Lanit company.

Due to the need of operational exchange of a large number of information, the decision on creation of a system of a video conferencing was made. As information transferred between managements of Federal Agency for Special Construction in most cases is confidential, ensuring necessary level of information security of a system became the major project task.

Within the project the corporate data network on the basis of service of a virtual private network of the telecom operator and Cisco Systems routers was created. Based on this network the system of a video conferencing using the equipment of Polycom (the People Content technology allows the conferee to act directly against the background of the shown document or the presentation) is unrolled, integration of the existing departmental telephone communication with a data network is carried out, the possibility of ensuring access to the centralized information resources of central office of Federal Agency for Special Construction is created.

A system has modular structure and a possibility of building of technical means, the directions of communication and the provided services. Data transmission channels are protected by the certified information security tools of production of S-Terra CSP company.

System implementation allowed to organize direct bidirectional video conference for leadership team, to hold video meetings with variable number of participants between buildings of central office and regional offices. Between participants of video conference information exchange of a different format is possible. The IP telephony system provides packet forwarding of voice and video traffic between segments of a corporate telephone network. The unified plan of numbering of a corporate telephone network is entered. As a result of implementation communication expenses between geographically distributed branches were cut down. The project is implemented in seven months.

According to Sergey Vasilyevich Kochetkov, the head of department of information technologies of Information Department and public relations of Federal Agency for Special Construction, creation of a data transmission system and video conferencing was caused by branched structure of the organization, need of fast information exchange between managements of Federal Agency for Special Construction, a system allows to improve quality and efficiency of decision making.
