On February 2, 2022, the developer of autonomous driving technologies, TuSimple, announced that the largest railway in the United States nion Pacific was the first customer to transport goods along a fully automated route between the Tucson and Phoenix areas, Arizona.
Union Pacific uses its subsidiary Loup Logistics (Loup) to coordinate freight traffic and support uninterrupted traffic between the railway and the critical first and last kilometer. Starting in March 2022, TuSimple plans to carry out Driver Out freight transportation for Union Pacific, using autonomous vehicle (AV) technology for faster and more cost-effective delivery of goods to their destination.
In the future, TuSimple plans to continue the Driver Out program and gradually expand its framework, including day rides and other routes, regularly improving the patented AV technology. By the end of 2023, TuSimple plans to achieve commercial viability by starting continuous paid freight transportation under the Driver Out program.

TuSimple Continues to promote autonomous freight lanes to expand its activities in preparation for national expansion. At the end of 2021, the company provided technical specifications to developers of commercial real estate in the United States to prepare for future autonomous freight transportation, including a modern facility with an area of a million square kilometers as part of a project with an area of 27 thousand square acres as part of AllianceTexas.
