2022: Kuzbass-300 launch plan

Kuzbass State Technical University The Kuzbass-300 spacecraft on the satellite CubeSat SXC3 OrbiCraft-Pro platform of SPUTNIX (part of the Sitronics Group) will be launched in 2022. This became known on February 16, 2022.

Using the satellite, schoolchildren and students of the region will carry out remote sensing of the Earth as part of environmental monitoring of the territory of Kuzbass. Also, thanks to Kuzbass-300, fires will be monitored in the region and throughout the Russian Federation.

The Kuzbass-300 satellite has standard dimensions CubeSat 3U (30x10x10 cm). The payload of the satellite will allow observation, research and monitoring of changes on the Earth's surface using a special camera.

The participants of the project in the KuzSTU laboratory will process the received satellite images using developed software to fulfill the tasks of the project. The launch of the satellite mission is planned for 2022.
