In the process of modernization, it was necessary to preserve the existing VKS terminals at the customer to integrate , to include them in the bank's general numbering plan, as well as create a single management tool for VKS terminals IP Phones Cisco and to effectively manage the quality of audio and video calls in the bank's distributed network.

By the time the project was launched, the bank was operating a corporate telephone system with unified communication elements based on Cisco Systems solutions, the core of which was implemented on the Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) solution. The subscribers of the system are Rosbank employees working in the bank's offices throughout the Russian Federation. The bank operates a video conferencing subsystem (VKS), also built on Cisco Systems equipment.

During the project, new equipment was installed, as well as the latest versions software on all components of the system, which helps to eliminate malfunctions, increase reliability and ensure the possibility of further work on the introduction of new unified communications services.

The integration of the VKS subsystem and IP telephony into one system is organized by transferring the registration of all endpoints to the CUCM cluster with a unified telephone numbering plan. As a result, users of the bank were able to use a single Cisco Jabber software client to participate in VKS meetings, regardless of the device from which they make the call.

Cisco IM&P provides the following services: - instant messaging and presence status exchange, Cisco Unity Connection - Voice Mail, Cisco TMS - Scheduling VCS Meetings, Cisco UCCX - Interactive Voice Interaction, Cisco CMS - organization of multi-point audio and web conferences, Eleveo CallRec - recording of telephone calls and screens, AMT IP Forum - controlled telephone conferences, Cisco Expressway - ensuring the operation of VKS terminals and gateways of previous generations, a junction with the Microsoft Skype for Business solution for user participation in joint VKS meetings.

For efficient operation and maintenance of the upgraded system for the bank's IT service, AMT GROUP engineers created design documentation according to the industry standard GOST 34, which describes the technical solutions used in the framework of the project and their interaction with adjacent bank systems.

The bank considers further directions of development of the system:

  • Improved collaboration and meetings between system users and users of other communication systems;
  • organization of access to communication resources of the system for employees from outside the office;
  • Establishment of a corporate portal for publishing records and streaming past VKS meetings;
  • implementation of a system for recording and assigning costs for telephone calls of bank divisions to optimize costs for communication channels with PSTN;
  • Deploy a dedicated system monitoring solution.
