2022: Announcement of CT platform

At the end of February 2022, Dyad Medical announced the launch of its Libby IAAA Cardiac Imaging Analysis Platform. The platform uses quantitative evaluation of intravascular optical coherence tomography images.

Libby IAAA allows healthcare professionals to automate intravascular examination and gives them the ability to see the inside of blood vessels, this is necessary to improve the treatment of coronary heart disease in hospitals. Gold imaging standards require operators to manually interpret and analyze cardiac images when obtaining large amounts of data during percutaneous coronary intervention. The device automates analysis and interpretation of cardiac images to improve treatment of coronary heart disease.

A CT platform has been released that allows you to look inside the vessels for the treatment of heart disease

Ischemic heart disease is the most common type of heart disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The disease is caused by the deposition of plaques on the walls of the arteries, which supply blood to the heart and other parts of the body. Coronary heart disease is often treated with a metallic stent inserted into the arteries of the heart. The stent keeps the artery open and destroys obstructions and blockages that can impede blood flow in the coronary arteries, and this requires evaluation during preclinical and clinical studies.

Dyad Medical prides itself on offering hospital systems, imaging centers and researchers a tool to perform heart image analysis in a small fraction of the time. This new milestone testifies to the Food and Drug Administration's confidence in the company's work and promotes the wider adoption of artificial intelligence for imaging, said Ronny Shalev, CEO and co-founder of the company.

According to Shalev, the failure of the stent is associated with its inadequate expansion, incomplete coverage of affected segments and untreated dissections along the edges. Through a combination of artificial intelligence and technological modifications, Libby IAAA can facilitate rigorous analysis, which will help physicians and researchers make accurate observations and conclusions about a patient's overall health.[1]
