2022: Product Announcement
On March 9, 2022, the Russian manufacturer of personal protective equipment for employees of Energokontract industrial enterprises announced smart clothes for electric power workers - the shunting screening kit Ep-4 (0) of Energo-Tesla Smart and the arc-resistant Energo Smart. The peculiarity of the novelties is that they use a special device to check whether the electrician is properly dressed for work.
After the fully dressed electrician presses the device button, the LED lights up and an audio signal is heard. Red signals not ready for work (not all clothing elements are connected or the electrical resistance of the clothes is above normal), green means that a person is ready for work and fully protected.
In the event of an emergency during the work, the device signals (with a light and sound signal, as well as vibration) about the current flowing through the set put on the person, warning about the danger and the need to take measures to ensure safe conditions for the work.
Another important function is to save all events in memory, as in the black box of the aircraft. Results of tests of readiness for operation, measurements of electrical resistance, connection and disconnection of components of the set during operation of current flow through clothes are recorded in the memory of the device with indication of date and time. If necessary, you can connect to the device from a phone or tablet using special software, see the entire history of the suit and events happening with the employee. If an emergency occurs, it will be easier for specialists to establish whether the monter was dressed in overalls and whether the kit was fully used.[1]
