2022: Process Warehouse Engineering
The following tasks were carried out within the framework of the three design stages:
Stage No. 1
- Survey of warehouses, equipment and cargo handling features.
- Interview with the warehouse manager and employees. Gather information to describe "as is" processes. Interviews with warehouse managers and key employees. Upper level description of current business processes.
- Inspection, photo fixation of warehouses.
- Analyze the IT infrastructure of the warehouse, compile a list of related information systems.
- Review, verify and review the documentation submitted by Owner.
- Group the item by storage/shipping conditions.
- Analyze the annual freight flow (inbound/outbound) data.
- Analyze the level of residues.
Stage No. 2
- Perform the calculation of the storage volume of the product;
- Perform calculation of required capacity of process areas;
- Define equipment and equipment types;
- Perform a comparative analysis of the proposed concepts.
Stage No. 3
- Calculate the process area parameters of the warehouse;
- Calculate storage locations based on storage conditions and product characteristics.
- Create the layout of the warehouse process areas in the room;
- Refined calculation of rack equipment requirements;
- Develop and describe task lists for main and auxiliary processes;
- Calculate the personnel and maintenance requirements at the current warehouse load;
