VK WorkMail is a secure corporate mail on the company's domain with a calendar and address book. VK WorkMail includes tools for administration and management: access to correspondence, action logs and recovery of deleted emails. The service also provides a flexible backup mechanism and scaling of individual nodes to improve fault tolerance.

VK WorkMail (Mail +) is included in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Computers and Databases and complies with the standards of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and is produced on its territory.

2022: Mailbox Collaboration

VK WorkMail has features for collaboration with mailboxes. VK announced this on March 15, 2022.

Owners of corporate mailboxes VK WorkMail will be able to organize a collaboration with them in a few clicks. This functionality will be useful for managers and their assistants, as well as for anyone who needs access to one mailbox or folder. In addition, you can now create corporate mailboxes with collective access based on VK WorkMail. This will help optimize the work of employees of the same department.

Using the Assistant option in VK WorkMail, you can partially or completely delegate work with your mail to another person - for example, a personal assistant. To do this, you need to select the mail folders with which he can work, and specify the level of access - from the minimum to the maximum. At the same time, you will not have to share the password, and if necessary, you can revoke access in a few clicks.

The minimum level of access allows a trusted person to read letters and mark important ones. Users with the optimal level of access, in addition, can send letters, move them to the "Spam" folder, archive, etc. The maximum level gives almost the same rights as the owner of the mailbox: in addition to the capabilities of the previous level, you can delete letters, download them to your device and perform other actions with them. If the existing levels are not appropriate, the Corporate Mail Administrator can create a new one by selecting the appropriate options for it.

Regardless of the level of access rights, it is now possible to give permission to the owners of other accounts to write letters on your behalf. In addition, colleagues can also be trusted to create folders at the root of the mailbox. The user who was granted access to the mail account will receive an invitation. After it is accepted, a block with folders to which access is granted will appear in the interface of its mailbox.

To ensure security, all activity of users to whom access is delegated is recorded. Also, after the update, VK WorkMail has the ability to create corporate mailboxes with collective access. This will make life easier for employees of the same department, such as recruiters, accountants or sales managers.

An administrator can create such a mailbox. It will assign one or more primary owners and issue access levels for the rest. By accepting the invitation, users, in the same way as in the case of the Assistant function, will see folders from a shared mailbox in the interface of their mail and will be able to work with letters within their rights.
