2022: Implementing the Product Approach
March 22, 2022 the international logistic company "" SDEK announced that it is in the process of product transformation. To increase their efficiency, product managers of the company go training to an online, university ProductStar specializing in the field of digital professions.
SDEK is a member of the ProductCamp-food management community in Europe. SDEC employees repeatedly took part in informal educational camps, exchanged experience and knowledge with other participants in the community.
The educational program for product managers was developed ProductStar specifically for SDEK. The training, in which 36 people take part, started at the end of November 2021.
There are three modules for course students: learning basic product management skills, skills for middle production, product analytics and teamwork, as well as an additional module for level-up products that already manage the team. Course participants in theory and practice study processes in the product team, product strategy and vision, hypothesis testing and MVP, soft skills, product management based on the Lean Canvas model, types of business metrics, OKR and other topics. According to the Project Based Learning methodology, SDEK employees, under the guidance of lecturers, parse their cases at workshops.
Based on the results of the educational module, SDEK product managers will be able to solve problems related to entering international markets, develop and quickly introduce products taking into account their performance metrics. It is important for products to be able to form a proposal before the customer has a given need, respond to the decline in product demand in time and rebuild it taking into account realities.
"For the second year, SDEK continues its product transformation, within the framework of which products are trained accordingly. It is important that the educational program was adapted for the tasks of SDEK and is associated not only with logistics, but also with the development of services and products not previously presented on the market. We are interested in various practices and cases, including international ones. With the help of the ProductStar program, we train product managers to develop relevant products on the delivery market not only in Russia, but also abroad. I am sure that the ProductStar course will allow our products to understand even better in the product and its stages of development: from analytics and product research to direct work with CJM, client path, hypothesis test, development, backlog. Thanks to training, products will work in one framework and a single system of grades, "- commented on Olga Zhbzhneva, SDEK director to marketing. |
"The logistics and delivery industries are changing significantly, including in terms of end-user orientation. For fruitful work, companies need to study their users, adapt work processes for them. At the same time, we see that the burden on current services and products of logistics companies has increased many times, since in current realities, delivery services also carry an important social component. In this regard, the decision of SDEK to develop towards product transformation is quite important for the market. Moreover, the company is not only a Russian, but also an international player, "- commented CEO ProductStar Mikhail Karpov. |
