2022: Start Multi-Subscription
VK Digital technologies and Nexign helped MegaFon develop a multi-subscription to digital services. This became known on March 24, 2022. Using the Tarantool in-memory computing platform and Nexign Microservices Framework technologies, the company included various services in MegaFon Plus: START and IVI online cinemas, MyBook book service and SberSound music . At the same time, a multi-subscription is available to subscribers of all telecom operators.
MegaFon Plus consists of a partner platform implemented on the basis of Tarantool Enterprise, and a Customer Data Integration (CDI) system. The partner platform helped synchronize the operator's internal projects and partner services, which made it possible to create a single catalog of products of different market players in the subscription. It stores data about all subscriptions and allows internal systems to determine what targeted actions the user has taken: for example, activated the subscription or suspended it. You can also use the platform to ensure that each user connects a subscription only once.
Tarantool has simplified and accelerated the integration of partner services. The VK-based solution can withstand more than 30,000 requests per second and keep all systems running stably. High performance is achieved by supporting in-memory DBMS format and running a highly loaded application in the same address space as the data used.
CDI combines information about MegaFon subscriber users and registers customers of other operators who have activated the multipunch. Records are matched with information from partner services, so the solution helps to control the correct connection of each user.
Our product is designed for a multi-million audience, so the main criterion when choosing storage technology for us was the minimum response time under high system loads. Tarantool Enterprise fully meets this requirement.
