2022: Launch of public transport management information systems complex

On March 29, a complex of information systems for managing public transport began work in the capital of Mordovia. The pilot project will cover two vehicles - bus routes No. 1 and No. 27. Digital services for passengers and the region were developed by Datapax.

Within the framework of the project, a passenger information service began work - the mobile application "Mordovia Transport." In it, residents can clarify the bus schedule, build a route, see the movement of transport on the map, find out the predicted time of arrival of the bus at the stop and pay for travel in the safest way - cashless. The mobile app is available for download on Google Play and the App Store.

During the pandemic, the passenger traffic of Saransk fell by 10-15%. The decrease in the number of passengers was also influenced by not the newest fleet of equipment. In addition, residents complain about long waits for transport in the afternoon. According to the head of Saransk Igor Asabin, the city has plans to develop a public transport network. The authorities have outlined a set of measures to improve the transport system. Their implementation will begin in 2022. Digital services presented by Datapax will help the city solve a number of problems in terms of public transport. High-precision passenger traffic sensors will analyze the number of included and released passengers, which will allow studying passenger traffic and regulating the amount of transport. Buses participating in the pilot project were equipped with media panels that broadcast cognitive and entertainment content for passengers and show the current route in real time due to synchronization with the dispatching system.

Our goal is to introduce the residents of Saransk to convenient digital services that save time and make the trip more comfortable. Experience in introducing complex Datapax solutions in other regions has shown that the average passenger travel time decreases by 10%, the accuracy of schedule compliance is 98%, and the number of accidents involving public transport is reduced by almost 70%, - said Maxim Isaev, Deputy General Director of Datapax.
