Solving the problem of increasing the level of automation due to modern technologies, the company JSC "Ivanteevsky Elevatormelmash" chose the ready-made, working solution "Appius-PLM Product Lifecycle Management." This was reported by APPIUS on March 30, 2022.
JSC IEMM produces transshipment and transportation equipment that meets the needs of various companies. industries industries At the beginning of the implementation, the enterprise's specialists were trained on working in the system, an implementation plan was determined, and the procedure for maintaining the enterprise was agreed upon through consultations with the specialists of the developer's company. The work began with the filling of the database with regulatory and reference information. The bulk of the limited list of materials was obtained from the Engineering Handbook provided. Most of the information on purchases and components was automatically loaded into the system using the tool for importing data from external sources through Excel format. Filling the restrictive list to the maximum and adjusting the working processes of interaction between departments, design and technological services were included in the work.
At the stage of entering design information, it was decided to create an Electronic Product Structure (ESI) according to a mixed type. Part of the paper archive documentation was manually loaded with scanned drawings. Another part developed in a 3D modeling environment using a PLM component to a CAD system. As of March 2022, almost all ESIs are formed using the PLM component, which ensures that designers work with up-to-date versions of files, improves performance and design speed. Use the Group BOM Editor for ease of use with multiple design documentation variants. Technological preparation is carried out mainly in the Route Editor, which in accelerated mode allows you to obtain the minimum necessary information for the accounting system in the form of Route Technology. Technologists take into account the multivariability of the manufacture of the product. Group/typical process plans are developed for typical parts. As part of electronic technology, all accompanying documentation is stored, including control programs for machine tools with numerical software, files for cutting, etc. Labor and material rationing is carried out directly within the framework of the Route Editor.
